How Are Lawyers Admitted to the Bar of the USSC?
In order to be admitted to the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States
and be able to practice law before the Court, prospective admittees must
apply. Then, they must be admitted to the bar of their state’s highest
court for no less than 3 years. They must also be sponsored by 2 lawyers
who have already gained admission to the Bar of the Supreme Court. If
selected and approved, attorneys are required to pay an entrance fee and
take an oath.
